Kuria East MP Marwa Kitayama has told NASA leader Raila Odinga to forget any vote in Kuria region after speaker candidate Kerario Marwa was attacked and beaten when he was poised to win.

Kitayama said it was unfortunate that the chaotic scenes that followed the August 31 saw Kerario and MCAs from Kuria being beaten and attacked and told to go back to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“Kerario won the speaker seat, but he was beaten and denied his victory because he was a Kuria member and we don’t a county, they told us to go for Jubilee, we will show that in votes,” Kitayama said last Wednesday at State House meeting.

Kitayama said they will ensure the Kuria community votes as a bloc for President Uhuru Kenyatta and deny Raila votes in his back yard.

“In my constituency Raila managed to get some 9,000 votes out of 35,000 in August 8. This time he will never get any,” Kitayama vowed.

He said the attack on Kerario, who was poised to win the Speaker seat before North Kadem MCA Boaz Okoth was controversially declared, will put on pressure on the community calls for another county.
