North Sakwa MCA Timon Mbogo said the stalled bridge over Abururu river in Koyier village will be finished to avoid it being used as a political gimmick by rivals.

Mbogo said while residents are staring at looming disaster, the contractor has promised to finish the job soon.

The bridge over river Abururu was swept about a year ago by raging floods.

“It has been used by politicians to gain mileage as it is in my home area, what remains is the final back filling,” Mbogo told Migori News.

He added that the “bridge was completed, what remain is back filling to make sure it remains steady. Only one side remains and it will be finished soon.”
