I will finance opponents for Suna East to avoid going unopposed- Junet

Suna East MP Junet Mohammed has confidently declared he is yet to see any opponent who will unseat in 2022.

Junet said he is sure of winning back his seat in 2022 general elections because lack of serious opponents insisting he is yet to “see anybody, this time I will go unopposed.”

“Honestly it seem I will be vying alone, but to avoid going unopposed maybe I will just finance someone to stand with me since I can’t stand alone always,” Junet said confidently.

He warned his opponents that since he was the only legislator who witnessed President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga’s handshake, he is done with playing village politics.

“I am past playing village politics, I have gone a notch a higher now we are only keen on pushing through the Building Bridges Initiative to help the country change leadership,” he said.

He thanked Suna East for always voting for him always from being a councillor and his second term.

He was speaking on Saturday at Rabuor area in his constituency during the funeral of Mama Olala, the mother of Migori county ODM secretary general Joseph Olala.

Kileleshwa MCA and Nairobi minority leader Elias Okumu and businessman Patrick Odipo are keen to unseat Junet.
