Ngege Fc edge out Super boys in Jamuhuri cup tourney
Ngege Fc are this year’s Jamuhuri cup Champions after a commanding
display in this year’s tourney.

Ngege Fc won the tournament after beating Kadika Fc 1-0 hence
maintaining their unbeaten run in all the games in the tournament.

First half goal from James Odhiambo was enough to make Ngege Fc
champions as it was a determinant game of the tournament.

In the second game Super boys Fc scored 1-0 against Nyamware Fc making the Super boys team number two overall in the tournament.

Ngege Fc coach Reagan Makori appreciated the talent showed by the youths during the two days tournament.

“As the champions we are happy that we are the champions of this
year’s cup but I must recognise the talent we witnessed here,” he
said.

He said the games are making the youths stronger and active during the holidays and he called the leaders to donate more of such tournaments.

The last year champions were Kadika Fc and this time round they had
disappointed games that left them at number 3 overall.

Kadika coach Marquez Ogwedhi expressed his disappointed in the games and has promised fans that he will bring back trophy next time.

“We have not performed as we expected but football works like that, we should not lose hope at this time. I urge our fans to still rally behind us in our next games in the next tournament”. He said.

Ngege Fc led the table with 9 points in 3 games; Super boys Fc came second with 6 points while Kadika and Nyamware were third and fourth consecutively.

Super boys Fc maintain their last year position and the head coach
Jack David’s could also not hide his delight after the game.

“Am happy to see ourselves still in number 2, after the first game we
thought we would be champions this time but the second game we lost
and that was the end of our believe, we had to focus in number
thereafter, “ he said.

The cup donor donated a trophy, balls and Sh.10,000.
