Uganda President Yoweri Museveni has been warned against exporting dictatorship in the country by Budalang’I MP and ODM Secretary General Ababu Namwamba.

Namwamba told off Museveni against being involved in the internal affairs of Kenya through the protracted sugar deal between him and Uhuru Kenyatta.

He said Museveni has stifled democratic space in Uganda where oppositions figures are often arrested and he will not do the same in Kenya.

“He was on TV bringing nyeff nyeff (nonsense) to Raila against the sugar debate. Museveni is not democratic compared to our party leader,” he said.

He said Museveni will not stifle debate in sugar growing zones, insisting they have no problem with Ugandans.
“In Kenya we are free and we believe Uganda does have sugar to import to us,” he said.

He challenged the two presidents to to tell Kenyans what they discussed over the ownership of the disputed Migingo Island.

He was speaking at Migori town Posta grounds on Saturday during a tour to push through voters and national ID registrations by locals.

He blamed bureaucracy as major hindrance in issuing of IDs.
