He said the purported strike was stage-managed by a group of students who created a scene attracting media coverage that they striking over the management policy of setting deadline for fees payment.

The students missed exams for failure to beat the deadline to sit exams, but plans for late candidates was considered by the institution.

The protest was organized by few students over fear of missing exams for not clearing arrears to allow them sit for their exams uninterrupted.

Business was normal at the institution as lecturers were on duty as the management was deliberating on possible ways of having those paid arrears late given exams as from Monday next week.

“Those students sought media attention to what was handled internally,” Gudu said.

“All students must comply with all laid down rules of the institution, and operation of the college was never interrupted in any way,” he said.

The students attempted to disrupt learning at the institution but the institution’s security contained it.
