Rongo MP aspirant Paul Abuor has assumed the role of area legislator and ODM leadership after area MP Dalmas Otieno ‘disappear’ from the ground for over 18 months.

His absence has made his constituents to wonder where he is and his move for 2017 elections.

Abuor, whp presided over a funds drive at Misadhi SDA church in Central Kamagambo ward, said he has been left to shoulder ODM responsibilities after Dalmas rebelled against the party to form “Kalausi” movement.

Otieno last time in Rongo was when Kalausi supported candidate in the race Philip Okundi who vied under Maendeleo Democratic Party lost by huge margin to ODM’s Moses Kajwang’ in February 12 by-elections.

“I have been left to attend to all harambees in the constituency and party leadership like hosting party national leaders during Okoa Kenya signature drives, party grass root elections and voters registration,” he said.

He added: “When Kalausi candidate lost in Homa Bay dismally Dalmas lost all ground and public goodwill. His absence is because he now lacks any relevance in Luo politics as traitor.”

Abuor has been in the forefront in pushing through anti-IEBC demos in Nairobi and said next Monday he will follow suit on the ground.

Philip Makabong’o, the county ODM chairman and former Rongo MP aspirant said “Dalmas is no longer one of us after we expelled him from the party at constituency and county level through official letter” on March 2014.

But speaking to the press last week Dalmas said that his disappearance is “good with me” and refused to disclose the seat he will vie for in 2017.
