Rongo MP aspirant George Caleb Oguta alias Janabi has been charged with defilement before a court of law.

Janabi faced charges of defilement contrary to section 8(1) of the penal code as read with section 8(4)of the sexual offence act no. 3 of 2006.

He was accused of defiling a minor aged 17 around Catholic area in Rongo town on August 23.

The politician denied the charges.

He will be arraigned in court on 12th March 2024 to determine whether to be released on bond or not.
