Rongo CDF conmen demanding kick back from principals, public

Conmen are going round schools in Rongo Sub-County conning Principals and Head teachers of money that their schools have been considered for Constituency Development Fund(CDF) allocation.

They seek money to be able to deliver cheques.

Several Principals and Head teachers have reportedly lost thousands of shillings to those smart conmen who usually operates swiftly and disappear into thin air.

Principals and Head teachers who have fallen victims came to realized they were conned after visiting CDF offices and failed to identify whom they sent money on their phones.

Conmen who operates in groups have reportedly milked millions of shillings from schools and their whereabouts could not be traced.

Rongo OCPD Jonathan Kisaka confirmed they have received complaints and have instructed security officers to be alert and comb the region for such culprits.

He said they have launched investigations.

Rongo CDF chairman Joseph Onyango Ngare was perplexed upon learning of the trick and warned that such people will soon be brought to book.

He said CDF employees never demand kick-backs to deliver cheques to the projects committees and if such a trick occurred, he is sorry and would visit such learning institutions with his staff to get more information.

Ngare promised to ensure culprits who will be found were charged with the offense and that none will go scot-free.
