OBRIEN: Kasala-Midoti road on pipeline, 30 roads and projects initiared in Suna Central

Suna Central MCA Samuel Obrien has said he will ensure dilapidated KaSala-Aroso-Midoti road is completed and was away residents using the road off busy Migori-Kisii highway were passing through a rough terrain.

Obrien said he was aware that residents were complaining about the road, concerns which he said were genuine.

“We have onset of El Nino rains and apart from the road we have Kaberi road which is having ongoing construction and so far we have done several roads,” Obrien said.

He said by working closely with governor Ochillo Ayacko, he has ensured more than 30 projects have been initiated in the ward.

“By working closely with Ayacko we have finished a water project at Onyalo Mixed Secondary and the governor will officially launch it soon,” he said.

“Before the Migori Referral Hospital ring road was an eye sore and unpassable and we have gravelled and added compacted murram to make it motorable among others,” he said.

The key road has been connecting the hospital with the county ODM office, Suna Central Ward offices and Disaster Management offices in addition to several hotels and homestead in the area.

He said he has opened and maintained several roads ahead of El Nino roads setting in.

  • Dugna-Kadika Girls Road (Budgeted)

Obrien also said he was put in place work in the following dispensaries and markets, alongside Early Children Education classes:

  • Nyamware Dispensary
  • Midori Market
  • Mapera Market
  • Odong’ dispensary (allocated)
  • Lichota Primary ECDE class
  • Ombo Primary ECDE class
  • Muslim Primary ECDE class
  • Toilet at Ochieng Orwa Primary School
  • Toilet at Lichota Primary School

“We have work underway, with some already on, to place solar lights at Soko Mjinga, Onyalo, Onding’ Mon, Nyasare, Aroso, Adingo Kamarera, Mapera, Ngege, Midoti, Dunga, Muslim, Ochieng Orwa, Magina and Police Line centers,” he said.

The ward legislator said this will help boost business and security in the ward.

“I have ensure we have enough facilitators and instructors at Midoti Polytechnic after donating several computers, 15 youths have also benefitted from Driving License issuance which is a plan i had under education,” he said.

Obrien has also help widows at Onyalo, Nyasare, Kadika, Apida and Midoti to build homes with the size to cover 20 iron sheets.
