Migori County Sponsorship programme will not change its requirements amidst drop in the counties education performance.

While addressing a group of faithful from different churches in Migori County where this year’s prayer breakfast was conducted, Obado said the 350marksMigori County Sponsorship programme will not change its pass mark amidst drop in the counties education performance.

“We want our students to perform better and by changing the requirements it is just like rigging the exams, “He said.

Governor however requested other organisations to join hands and provide scholarship as this will help boost the education standards of the County.

“We want to see our students perform better than other Counties, we have everything to lead especially the Scholarship that was introduced to boost the performance of our students, schools and the county at large. ” He added

The governor’s Scholarship caters for Tuition fees,shopping,pocket money and transport to and from school among other s.

Governor Okoth Obado has said the programme will remain.

Other organisations like equity bank have a similar structure of sponsoring 30 bright and needy students.
