Governor Zachary Obado’s support within Migori town has been compromised just days after he decamped to ODM from his PDP party last Friday.

Obado amassed and innumerable multitude in his support during Suna East MP Junnet Mohammed homecoming rally graced by Raila Odinga.

The building bad blood, according to several sources has been caused by the greed of one top county assembly official who has developed an insatiable love for money.

According to aggrieved parties whom we interviewed, the rogue official is determined to make the governor fail as he has made away with money meant for “treating ground” within the town.

The interviewed parties alleged that the governor has, in several instances, been releasing money to appease various bodaboda groups and seduce them to join his pact, but this was not bearing the desired outcome.

“ We have intercepted intelligence that this Obado’s foot soldier has been eating our money and lying that all is well, ground rach omera,” one was overheard saying.

The situation is said to have angered one of the groups that missed out in an earlier round of gonyo that they resorted to burn a banner that has Obado’s portrait as they chanted anti-Obado slogans.

They urged the governor to do away with him foot soldiers who are after their own needs but deal with their leaders to avert future clashes.

“We should be engaging the governor one on one through our leaders and this can help us better push through agenda that can be beneficial to us,” another aggrieved party said.

Migori governors support has been dwindling around Migori town and he has resorted to fight hard to get moe people to rally behind him ahead of the next general election.
