56 Migori traders have benefitted from Sh9.25million table banking loan from county government.

The cheques to the loan which will be paid back with an 8 per cent interest rate were distributed by governor Okoth Obado.

Obado said the loan will help boost trade and urged traders to use the loans diligently and pay back to help to help others.

He said the county government will allocate more loans if the current traders pay back their loans in time.

At the same time the Migori county chapter of Kenya Chamber of Commerce has been allocated new land at Lichota farm which will host new county headquarters.

The allocation will save traders time as they use to seek chambers’ services like loans and business advice from Homa Bay and Kisii counties.

Samuel Rumo, the county chairperson of Chamber of Commerce lauded the move by county government.
