Over 1,400 Awendo secondary school students benefitted from Sh7.3M bursary to continue with their education courtesy of CDF kitty.
The bright but needy students received full bursary after thorough vetting by a select board in Awendo.
Speaking during the function at Kwoyo Kodalo secondary school, the area MP Jared Kopiyo said that no child will sit at home because of lack of school fees in his tenure.
He asked the constituents to promote education at all levels saying local initiatives like fund drives will also be encouraged.
He also said any leader in need of projects must follow the legal procedure and his CDF team will will not allow corruption.
Am the named person above, I filled a form for CDF loan after failing to secure the free bursary fund on May this year but failed. My concern is what criteria do you use to select the students and second how can someone qualify for that loan?
