The Migori county assembly youth Representative John Kennedy has warned against introducing youths to early family planning methods.

Kennedy cautioned parents and guardians against introducing their daughters to family planning methods at tender ages.

He lamented that most parents, especially elderly ones, are not taking sex education keenly and side effects of pills and other methods of family planning.

He said most girls introduced early to pills face discomfort in their marriage lives especially in child bearing methods.

“Parents think introducing their children to family planning programs will bar them from embarrassments by early pregnancies,” he pointed out.

He warned children are endangered as they risk having poor health in future of the upcoming generation.

Kennedy challenged parents to encourage education among their children.

He was speaking at East Kamagambo ward in Rongo sub-county during the burial of a former taxi operator.
