Embattled PAC chair Ababu steps aside, his infamous tape thrown out

Embattled PAC chair Ababu Namwamba has stepped aside after his committee was named in EACC #ListOfShame: “To support the war on corruption, I take leave from all parliamentary duties pending conclusion of the probe of PAC.”

His stepping aside comes shortly after a probe by power and privileges committee has recommended PAC to be disbanded and all its 29 members not allowed to be in the new body. It also threw out Ababu’s tape which recorded a conversation with Cord leader Raila Odinga.

Migori county has three PAC members: Mathias Robi (Kuria West), Junet Mohammed (Suna East) and Edick Anyanga (Nyatike).
