Thirty one household from Awendo Sub County have benefited from 300 iron sheets by the special programme ministry after being displaced by rainstorm.

The beneficiaries are among the 368 people who were affected by the rainstorm that pounded in the entire Awendo sub county a month ago.

Awendo MP Jared Kopiyo said the ministry said they never had money to support all affected people.

But he lauded the department of special programme for the support saying “many people are still homeless in Awendo following the aftermath of the rainstorm.”
