Liverpool striker Luis Suarez insists that he will not be leaving Merseyside for Real Madrid in the off-season and is focused on making his Premier League title dream a reality.

The Uruguay international was named the PFA Player of the Year on Sunday after a spectacular season for the Reds, scoring 30 goals as they marched to the top of the table.

It was widely reported that the 27-year-old would join Madrid last summer, but the forward has since signed a new long-term contract at Anfield.

However, rumours of a move to the Spanish capital persist, but when asked by Uruguay television station Canal 10 where he’ll be playing next season, Suarez said: “I’m very happy here and my family is happy here.

“Don’t worry, nothing is going to happen to me. If we could win the Premier League and bring the trophy home it
would be incredible, a dream come true.”
