Police in Migori have launched a man hunt for a man who was busted making love to a cow in Rongo.

Jack Ombuoro had been accused of several counts of bestiality by residents of Matofare village in Rongo.

Rongo OCPD Kibet Kirui said they have launched a manhunt for the man who is on the run after he was busted on Saturday night.

Lydia Akello a villager said they reported the first incident at Kamagambo police station on June 13 when Ombuoro was busted engaging a pregnanct cow in an unnatural sexual act.

“He had walked in casually like a man going into his bedroom, removed his trouser and inner wear before tying the pregnant cow and sleeping with it severally before he was caught,” said Akello.

According to Akello her daughters also busted him when they were from a night vigil at a church one night.

“When they entered the house they had footsteps which made them wake up their brothers, on inspection they found the cow raped and the clothes left behind,” she said.

Angry villagers, including the suspects mother identified the Ombuoro from the clothes the following morning.

Ombuoro however burnt his clothes and bedding and fled before the villagers caught up with him.

“He has been having girlfriends who he has been chasing before marriage, we never knew he was a suspect after more than eight cows were reported defiled in the area,” Albert Konje, a village elder said.

Konje said they have been forced to sell their cows each time the incident occurred.

Rongo OCPD said the suspect’s clothes were taken to the station and they have started recording statement from victims with a plan to arraign the suspect in court.
