Over 1,000 Migori KCPE candidates didn’t join form one- government

Over 1,000 candidates who sat for KCPE in Migori county have failed to join form one, the government has said.

Migori falls under counties which failed to reach the one hundred percent transition rate as out of total of 269,666 KCPE candidates, only 96.2 per cent jointed form one.

According to Suna East sub-county commissioner Daniel Mutiso, a total of 1.004 students failed to join form one, but he said they are moving to have them to.

Her are the figures:

  • 218 lacked fees
  • 228 repeated primary school
  • 217 candidates joined vocational training
  • 10 died
  • 320 candidates couldn’t be trailed.
