Two Migori MCAs allied to the ODM- party have said Migori governor should officially leave the party for People Democratic Party.
Muhuru Bay MCA Hevron Maira and South Kanyamkago MCA Graham Kagali in an interview in Migori town said the assembly was intact.
They said Obado should officially resign from ODM
The members said it was absurd for Obado to insist on ‘Power to People’s slogan for his new party when his development tract record was in shatters despite serving his second term.
“Obado moved as an individual to PDP, if he is man enough he should formally leave ODM. His new outfit is a shadowy figure without any framework,” Kagali said.
Kagali said it was unfortunate that Obado said MCAs were coerced to pass the BBI, and said PDP will have a toll order to campaign against the constitution amendment.
“He is on a personal errand and his power to the people slogan is ironical because his development record on empowered of people is wanting,” he said.
The PG chair said the ODM party is very clear on stance against PDP from statement from our majority leader and colleagues.
“In Nyanza, we only have one voice Raila and one party ODM. Any other is a pretense to the throne,” Maira said.
Maira said the ODM party is a movement and any vacant position left by those who will leave will be filled promptly.
