Teachers across the country have come out to lament on the frustration meted on them by their employer Teachers Service Commission.

Kenya National Union Of Teachers national treasurer John Matiang’I said TSC is slowly killing the giant teachers’ union KNUT by removing names of members.

He said that TSC has a lot of things to do for the teachers but it has resorted to witch hunting, frustrations and intimidation.

KNUT assistant Secretary General Hesborn Otieno said that the unrest situation witnessed in some school does not really require headteachers efforts alone to quell, calm and deal with the situation.

He criticized the sentiments made by education cabinet secretary George Magoha that headteachers must reside within the school compound by saying that it may also be risky for their families.

He said that the unrest in schools needs all the stakeholders to come up and find lasting solutions that may deal with the situation that continues to affect the education sector across the country.
