Early century initiatives on education by missionaries should be maintained to improve the sector to international standards, a Seventh Day Adventist leader has said.

If viable projects initiated by early missionaries could be maintained, there would be no idleness among the youth the international Seventh Day Adventist Education director Lisa Beardsdley noted.

Beardsdley was accompanied by several other international dignitaries from the general conference in USA to graze the Seventh Day Adventist teachers annual convention held at Kamagambo Adventist teachers’ training college in Rongo sub county.

She expressed dissatisfaction over the manner some church leaders were violating SDA doctrines pursuing personal interests instead of sticking to spiritual nourishment and preach the gospel for Christians.

“Let the word of God reach every person in all parts of the continent for everyone to believe in serving the Lord believing that he is the savior and will continue protecting lives of people trusting Him as their personal creator”, Beardsley added.

She also expressed disappointment over low enrolment of Adventist children in Seventh Day Adentist owned learning institutions globally and suggested that they need to improve learning institutions owned by SDA to match those of other institutions.

The Migori County government promised to partner with the general conference in developing existing church owned learning institutions to attract recognition from outside the world
