Makadara MP and ODM top official George Aladwa has dared Miigori governor Okoth Obado to officially resign from the party and seek fresh mandate with his new political outfit.

Aladwa said while they have no problem with Obado leaving them to join People Democratic Party (PDP), he challenged him to seek fresh mandate if he thinks he is a political giant.

“We don’t have a problem and respect Obado’s decision to defect to PDP. He should resign officially and leave us alone. He should resign and seek reelection in their new parties, but his manevour is a small matter that is not giving is sleepless nights,” Aladwa said.

He warned that Orange House will be keen to weed out legislators and MCAs who will go to bed with their O
bado.

“We have elected leaders who after being elected on our party decide to not only disrespect our party, but also our leader Raila Odinga. Loyalty and fidelity to the party and Odinga will be our yardstick come 2022 general elections,” Aladwa said.

He was speaking in Migori town on Tuesday when he hosted several county ODM leaders led by chairman Philip Makabong’o and Secretary General Joseph Olala.

Migori MCAs Graham Kagali from South Kanyamkago, Hevron Maira from Muhuru Bay and Kevins Keke from South Kamagambo were also present.

His sentiments was shared and supported by Makabong’o and Kagali.

“Despite this rebellion push by Obado, the party is stable and back on track. There is a Tsunami coming and our rivals with their corruption money will be swept away in political oblivion.” Kagali said.
