Amani National Congress officials in Migori have accused ODM boss Raila Odinga of using nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi for frustrating their party leader Musalia Mudavadi.

In a terse press conference in Migori town, and without calling Odinga directly, the officials said National Super Alliance (NASA) principals have been frustrating Mudavadi 2022 presidential bid.

In a special interview with Migori News, officials led by branch chairman Omwami Ambaka said Mudavadi and the Luhya Community had stood with Odinga through the last two general elections.

“Time is ripe for Odinga and ODM to support Mudavadi by giving back the favour,” he said.

Branch organizing secretary Samuel Embayi faulted ODM officials for terming Mudavadi a coward who is sitting on the fence while noting that it was through the fence that political strategies are made.

They took a swipe at Osotsi accusing him going to bed with ODM and undermining party leader leadership.

Francis Gumisi, a youth leader said if “Osotsi wants to be in ODM let him relinquish his position and decamp officially instead of creating unnecessary wrangles in the party.”

The pronouncements come even as ODM party’s move to discipline rebel members of the constituent parties continued to cause disquiet in Nasa, the coalition that forms the minority side in Parliament.

So far, Mudavadi’s ANC and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula, have been rattled by the re-organizations of House committees, with members with questionable loyalty being dewhipped.

Wetang’ula has already hinted at a looming crack in the once vibrant coalition following the move to rewhip members without proper consultations.
