Kalausi is for real, will shake ODM- Dalmas

Rongo MP Dalmas Otieno Anyango has reassured his political detractors that his party dubbed ‘Kalausi’, Luo name for whirl wind is real and as a strong as a tsunami.

Dalmas said that he will not relent on his bid to form a rival party within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) which took him to parliament.

The legislator said that ODM as a party consists of people with divergent opinions and no one is restricted from expressing his/her political idea within the party.

Otieno stated that he has not fallen out with the ODM party as is being rumored by some party officials both at the national and at the grass root levels.

He said that he will only a scribe to parties which spread politics of development which he said is a necessary tool of prosperity to the locals.

“Under development of Luo Nyanza is due to politics of intolerance, clanism and tribalism which he said should be fought by all means possible,” he insisted.

“Kalausi party has stringent policies that will not accommodate backward and rebellious individuals. I would have wished to stay in ODM but his conscience directs him otherwise,” he added.

He insisted that Cord will not achieve its objectives lest it involves visionary like him and consult widely.

He was speaking during the official launch of the Sh10.4 million solar street lights in Rongo town called on the county government to own the projects initiated by various constituencies.

He criticized county government for boycotting the function and sidelining MPs in devlopemtn afterleaders, he said, they have the role of steering
various projects in order to speed up development within the counties
but that doesn’t give the county government laxity room.

At the same time, he criticized the Rongo County government officials
for boycotting the event such actions will only mount to
underdevelopment.Absent without apology were the Rongo town
administrator Mr. Edward Okello and the area’s ward administrator,
Seth Odoyo.
