Homa Bay police have launched investigations to identify the body of man found in a sack by two herd boys in Oyugis, Homa Bay.

The deceased is suspected to have been killed somewhere else before being dumped in the area.

Two boys noticed an unpleasant smell under a culvert along the busy road and went to check.

Locals told Migori News that two un-identified men on Wednesday morning at around 5:30am dumped the body from Toyota Probox and sped off.

“We don’t know the deceased and we believe he was killed elsewhere before the body was dumped here,” said a resident after the two herd boys raised alarm.

“Someone saw three people with a Probox car here whim we suspect might have dumped the lifeless body,” he added

Othoro police boss Joseph Waswa said that their preliminary investigations revealed that the man was murdered before his body dumped under the culvert.

“We have launched a manhunt for the suspects who were allegedly spotted in the area in a probox vehicle and might have dumped the body,” he said.
