Ministry of Health has reviewed upwards the special curfew hours and rules given to Migori county as among 13 Covid 19 hot spot counties,

The 13 counties were under the Lake Victoria Regional Bloc and apart from the special 7pm-4am curfew, churches and markets were also completely closed down.

These rules have been waivered, but other protocols still stand:\

📌All counties in Kenya including those in the lake region will now observe curfew hours from 10 pm to 4 am.

📌Kenyan government bans public gatherings and in-person meetings until further notice. The government said such gatherings should be undertaken virtually or postponed.

📌All forms of congregational services and in-person worship should be undertaken in strict compliance with the Inter-Faith Council.

📌All teachers are urged to present themselves for COVID-19 vaccination to protect them, pupils and children from contracting the virus.

This comes after Kenya recorded 1,068 new COVID-19 infections as recorded by the Ministry of Health on Thursday, July 29, 2021. This was equivalent to the positivity rate of 14.4%
