Has Rongo MP Paul Abuor moved back to Orange Democratic Movement party after flirting with rebellion?

The legislator, among six other colleagues broke ranks with the party and leader Raila Odinga to work with President William Ruto.

“I thank Hon. Opiyo Wandayi and Hon. Junet Mohammed, ODM Minority Leader and Whip respectively for appointing me to the Regional Development Committee,” Abuor said on social media.

He said his appointment comes “at this crucial moment when we intend to strengthen the Regional Authorities and make them more efficient in their operations through a bill currently in Parliament.”

Weeks ago, Abuor was forced to drop and skip th burial of former county ODM chair Philip Makabong’o in his Kitere village.

One person died as the legislator was prevented from attending a functional so graced by ODM leader Raila Odinga.

But in the post, Abuor sent mixed signals by thanking Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwah, a man he hosted before calling him a big brother.

“I also thank my Brother, Leader of Majority Hon. Kimani Ichung’wah for the timely confirmation of the same and undertake to carry out my mandate diligently,” he said.

There have been rumours in political space that the Rongo MP has been trying to make amends and return to ODM fold.
