Supporters of two Migori governor hopefuls on Thursday clashed at Opapo, in chaos that were filmed by several onlookers.

Senator Ochillo Ayacko and former Rongo MP Dalmas Otieno supporters clashed at the center in Opapo during the homecoming tour of the county by Ayacko.

In a video, an unidentified man who was in a group was filmed as he was slapped by a rival.

Fracas started at the center as supporters allied to Dalmas tried to stop and heckled a Ayacko’s motorcade which was passing through the area.

Ayacko is the ODM governor candidate, while Otieno will vie on Jubilee Party ticket.

The incident casts a gloom shadow at the governor race, which has been marred with violence in the past two elections.
