Ugly clanism has reared its ugly head over Sh2.3billion water project in Kuria area pledged by President William Ruto in previous campaigns.

Leaders from the Bukira clan which cover Kehancha town have resisted earlier plans to place part of water project in areas where Nyabasi clans are situated sparking tension.

Bukira leaders led by Bukuria Central MCA and Deputy Speaker Mathews Chacha, Kehancha Municipal Board chair Matiko Bohoko and Kuria West politician Mwita Nyange, forgot nationalism and cohesion and engaged in clan politics over project partly funded by World Bank.
