Two minors were burnt beyond recognition when fire gutted down their home at Kamaganda village, Central Kadem location in Nyatike.

A three years old minor and his two month old sibling died when their house was consumed by fire when their parents were in a neighbours house for a night vigil.

Central Kadem chief Henry Sitora said the two died while a third child aged five was fortunate enough to escape from the inferno narrowly.

Sitora said that the fire incident is suspected to have been caused by a lit tin lamp which was being used by the minors up to the time when the fateful incident occurred.

The bodies of the two minors are preserved at Migori level four hospitals as the police investigate the matter.
