Two bhang suspects arrested with Sh600,000 haul at Kakrao

Police in Migori have arrested two suspected drug traffickers and impounded drug worth Sh600,000 at Kakrao road block along Migori-Kisii highway.

Police also impounded a Toyota Fielder vehicle, registration KBJ 546 which was transporting the haul concealed in five gunny bags.

The two identified as Raphael Kiwanis and Aaron Kariuki were arrested and will face drug trafficking related charges before court of law.

Migori county traffic base commander Aggrey Ukuri confirmed the incident saying the two middle age men were intercepted by traffic police at road block at Kakrao.

Ukuri said that the police who were doing their normal road block checks when they arrested the suspects.

He said that cases of bhang being transported from Sirare to other destinations via Migori town is very rampant but maintained that the police is committed to arrested and prosecute any suspected drug traffickers.

Ukiru said that bhang is illegal saying that anyone found smoking or selling the bhang will face the full wrath of the law.
