A tractor driver was stung to death by bees while ploughing  a field in Rongo sub-county.

Bonface Ochieng Ogara, 35, was stung to death at Kudho village.

Victor Odira, who was working alongside Bonface at the time, said the tractor had disturbed an underground hive triggering attack from the insects.

“I managed to ran away from the scene, but the insects overwhelmed him,” Odira said.

John Ogara, Bonface’s grieving father, said the incident has left them in shock.

Boaz Kiri, the Member of County Assembly (MCA) representing North Kabuoch said the victim hailed from nearby Ndhiwa sub-county in Homa Bay county.
