SUNA WEST POLITICS: Compensate IDPs from Nyanza- Masara

By MN Reporter

Suna West constituency aspirant Peter Masara has attacked the Jubilee Government for the negligence in the way they are handling victims of PEV from Nyanza region.

Masara has said the way Jubilee has treated Internal Displaces Persons from Nyanza reeks of tribalism as the compensation has only been “Kikuyu and Kalenjin” affair from Rift Valley and Central region.

“The ruling coalition has to be fair to all the IDPS in the country as those from Western and Nyanza regions who were uprooted from their homes in various parts of the country have not been fully compensated,” he said.

The former mayor urged the president and his deputy to not only celebrate their victory but also look at the plight of the affected victims.

He was speaking last Sunday at St. Celestino Catholic Church in Oruba-Ragana ward, Suna West constituency.
