Pupils of Nyamongo primary school in Suna East sub county finished this term learning under trees after rainstorm destroyed four classrooms two weeks ago.

More than 200 learners have been affected.

The school head teacher Charles Odida said situation was unbearable and asked for area CDF kitty, county government and welwishers to ensure there is not a repeat next term.

Odida said they were not able to administer the examinations to the pupils as scheduled they because of the challenge interruption by rain.

“Pupils fell sick because of the harsh cold weather condition they have been exposed to for the last two weeks of the term,” he said.

The school community and the teachers are appealing to both national and county government to move with speed to save the situation.
