Singer Akothee eyeing Pamela’s Woman Representative seat with feet in Migori?

Migori county has been awash with sensational claims that singer Akothee is out to replace Dr. Pamela Odhiambo as the Woman Representative in 2022 general elections.

Ahead of 2017 election, part of youths and elders has been out to push Akothee who hails from Rongo-Awendo area to vie for the position without any success.

The same push also flopped during last year senator by-elections.

On Friday while Odhiambo was hosting Youth and Gender Cabinet Secretary Margret Kobia, Akothee was hosted by governor Okoth Obado at his Migori town office.

“We binging it big this time round, the great Migori county empowerment festival 2019, this will ve a three day event,” excited Akothee posted on her social media page.

The event will include a free medical camp, agricultural talks, talent search, women empowerment and ‘cooperate product show case.

“And on the last day a full blown entertainment,” Akothee said adding that celebrities Zarika and Owago Onyiro will grace the occasion.

But after the post, social media users on social media have renewed the calls to openly call her out to vie for WR post and replace the academician Pamela.

“Women Rep 2022,” Gradius Jamigori posted.

“It’s good to be home, you have traveled and celebrated, it is now time to get home blessings as we celebrate you and your work,” Omburo Sos Jadala posted.

“We are still searching got a woman representative in Migori county. We will be taking notes,” Chrys Chacha said.

Akothee has shied away from directly commenting on the matter.

Akothee comes from a political family, her dad was former cabinet minister Dalmas Otieno advisors, her mom was a former Migori majority leader while a brother tried to vie for Migori speaker post
