Shock as Rongo principal expels 4 students before end term exams

Four students from a high school in Rongo Sub-County have been expelled.

One was reportedly pregnant while the rest were found with mobile phones hidden under their mattresses and were dressed indecently.

the form 3 girls were ordered to hurriedly pack their personal belongings and leave the school compound leaving their colleagues and teachers stunned.

Attempts to to have the principal reverse her decision failed insisting it was in the education policy for students to have phones while in school.
The board of management and the school’s church sponsor should have been consulted before expulsion.

Rongo sub-county education director Michael Kanditi defended the decision saying it was in line with education action.

Early this year, a students from the same institution was assaulted by her teachers for sneaking out of school during weekend.
