SAD: Migorians yet to pick over 5,000 despite voter registration

Migorians are yet collect over 5,000 national identification cards despite ongoing voters’ registrations.

Gabriel Ochieng, the county registrar said the number is from all eight sub-counties.

“The highest numbers are from Kuria region,” he said.

He said they have been forced to contact people to pick their cards and even contact chiefs and their assistants to give out the vital documents.

“We wish for them to pick their cards and enroll as voters,” Ochieng said.

He revealed currently they have a huge number of new applicants with some centers reaching up to 400 per day.
