A Rongo woman, Milka Adhiambo Abwao, has been arraigned before Rongo court charged with neglecting of a child centrally to section 127(1) (a) of the children Act NO. 8. Of 2001.

According to the witness Polycarp a watchman in Rongo town on 12th this month he heard a cry of a child within the corridors of Rongo Primary School and picked the infant and took to the police station.

The child was later taken to Rongo Sub County Hospital, before police investigations managed to nab the suspect who was seen dumping the child.

Abwao pleaded guilty before RM C.M. Kamau at Rongo law courts and is still under custody waiting sentencing while the infant was taken to one of the orphanages in Kisumu.
