Bhang worth Sh100million being off loaded from a police van on Friday

Police in Rongo arrested a man with bhang worth Sh13,000 while boarding a Kisii bound matatu from Migori.

Robbert Okemwa Nyambane, 22, was arrested at Kanga machine center after the police got a tip off from curious members of the public.

Confirming the incident Rongo OCPD Jonathan Kisaka said that the man boarded a matatu from Migori in possession of a huge metal box and could not expressed himself upon realizing that the smell of bhang was being felt in the matatu.

“We are on high alert on any bhang related cases and we acted on time when we got a call from the public” he said.

He urged residents to report any such cases to curb drug trade in Migori.

Kisaka said that the man is being held in Rongo police station a waiting to be arraigned in court tomorrow.
