Two URP legislators have said Cord leader Raila Odinga bid to be the next president of Kenya is futile with tyranny of numbers.

Turbo MP Elisha Busienei and his Kuria West counterpart Mathias Robi said Raila should retire from politics because he will never win back the vote rich Rift Valley province.

“The last time Rift Valley supported Raila to the last man was in 2007, but he let his victory to be lost. That was the last time he was close to winning,” Busienei said.

The legislator said Jubilee Alliance win in last general elections is a replica of 2017 elections insisting “it is a mirage to think Raila will be president.”

“I don’t see Raila becoming president without Rift Valley votes, he should just retire from politics because I see him crying again that his votes are stolen,” he said.

Robi said Jubilee will continue with prayer rallies for DP William Ruto and Radio Presenter Joshua Sang, who are suspects at ICC.

Robi said that Cord is welcomed to organise their own prayer rallies on ICC matters and insisted they are welcome to tour the all country especially Rift Valley province.

“If they have genuine prayers for two Kenyans at the Hague they should go ahead, we just hope as a country that they will not stoke political temperatures,” Robi said.

They were speaking in Kuria West constituency during a four day tour of CDF development projects where Sh40m cheques were issued.
