Two suspects linked to an arson attack that left a teenage dead in Kwa Hill Village two weeks ago were today lynched and two houses torched by the mob at dawn.

The two Daniel Taabu and Alfred Muyonga Misara were part of the crowd that turned out to seek the help of a witchdoctor known as Ogwang from Tanzania and they were shocked when the witchdoctor named them after picking ashes from a house that was burnt last two weeks by unknown suspects.

The burnt house that belonged to Odoyo Chacha was burnt at night two weeks ago by unknown people and resulted into the death of his teenage son.

Suna Rabuor location chief Philip Kisiagro said that the family of Odoyo Chacha sneaked to Tanzania to seek the help of the witchdoctor to unravel the unknown suspects who are alleged to have torched his house and when he[the witchdoctor]named the two dead suspects, the crowd turned and killed the suspects.

The local administrator said that the two suspects tried to escape on foot but they were overpowered by the crowd and hacked to death using pangas and other crude weapons.

The witchdoctor escaped back to Tanzania immediately after word went around that the mob that had sought his help had killed the two suspects.

Migori County Police Commander Joseph Nthenge said that the police have so far summoned the Chacha’s family and members of the affected murdered suspects’ family to help them in further investigations and are also looking for the Tanzania witchdoctor over the killings.

The bodies of the two dead suspects have been moved and reserved at the Migori Level Four hospital mortuary as the police continue with more investigations on the murder incident.

Two week ago the same witchdoctors is suspected to have named an old man who is alleged to have abducted a KCSE candidate and his house was also burnt as the old man managed to escape to safety.
