Police launch manhunt for Kenya Kwanza blogger for defiling minor in Migori town

Migori police have launched a manhunt for a popular blogger for defiling a primary school pupil in Suna West Sub-county.

The minor aged 13 was rushed to Migori Referral Hospital after she was defiled by the suspect on Sunday while going to school in the morning.

According to Suna Oruba location Chief Charles Ouma said the suspect offered her lift in his vehicle, dragged to a nearby bush and defiled her.

he later gave her Sh100 and tried to escape from the scene when he drove the girl to a nearby tree plantation in Rumors area and dropped her before speeding off.

Girl raised alarm which attracted boda boda riders and said the suspect had threatened to kill her.

“The they managed to capture the registration number of the vehicle used by the suspected paedophile,” he said.  

Ouma said the vehicle used by the suspect was netted around Kowino area in Suna West Sub County and it’s now detained at Oruba police post pending police investigation.

Ouma said they will ensure that the pupil is served justice.
