Please tell Obado to clean our dirty town- Isebania residents

Isebania town residents which border Tanzania have called in governor Okoth Obado to help ensure their town is clean.

Poor waste management as seen tw huge dumpsites on the tarmack road connecting Kenya with Tanzania, just a few meters from the border crossing.

Other dumpsites have mushroom in markets and estates as tractors used to collect waste have complained of lack of fuel.

An eye sore of a dumpsite has develop next to Summer Spring Hotel, a hospital and primary school.

Tobias Range, former Kehancha Municipal Mayor has said the situation has been worsen by coming of devolution as the former council did a better job.

“How can a whole county say they lack fuel? Former councils used to collect waste thrice a week. This situation is uncalled for,” Range said.

Isebania MCA Charles Nyange said Isebania is the dirtiest town in Migori county despite leading in revenue collection.

“All the blame is on executive, they have failed electorates who voted them in,” Nyange said.

Elijah Odhiambo, the County Executive Member of Environment refused to comment on the matter.
