Awendo MP Walter Owino on Saturday fulfilled his election pledge by handing over a footbridge along river Kuja.

The bridge will connect Kakmasia East and West along river kuja in North Sakwa location.

“It connects seven clans share amenities like hospitals, schools, markets and churches,” the legislator.

Before the bridge was built, several lives were lost as residents tried to cross river Kuja either on boat or foot.

“This bridge was used as a campaign pledge by past leaders, today it is delivered to fulfil a pledge to residents,” Walter said.
