A woman from Aroso estate within Migori town lost her life, together wth her two children aged two and nine years after a wall collapsed on Monday, April 20 2020 dawn.

The woman was sleeping with her children in their house when their wall collapsed killing them instantly.

“We have a heavy downpour during the night when the accident is said to have happened, it was only neighbors who woke up at dawn that realised the accident had happened,” Walter Nyambati, a village elder said.

He said the husband, a night watchman was out for duty when he was called in the morning to rush at home after the accident.

“It was unfortunate that the accident claimed the lives of three people, we call on government to come to aid of the family to help in burial,” he said.

The bodies were taken to St. Joseph Mission Hospital mortuary as police have launched investigations.
