Suna East MP aspirant Samuel Amimo has kicked off in earnest campaigns for April 16 party nominations.

Amimo has been meeting voters before, but from March 26 geared up campaigns for the party ticket.

“As a son of Suna East and a Luo who is a bonafide member of the ODM party I am sure I will be the party candidate in next polls,” Amimo said.

He was speaking at Rayudhi center where he kicked off campaigns in Kakrao wards.

“There have been fears that ODM will bungle the nominations, but we believe the will of voters will be heard past nominations to the next general elections four months away,” Amimo said.

AmImo will face off for the ODM nominations with the incumbent Junet Mohammed, Kileleshwa MCA Elias Okumu and businessman Bruno Liende.

“I have checked and measured my rivals and realized I am the only untainted candidate, and hope for Suna East,” Amimo said.

He said for the past decade Junet has been legislator in Suna East there is no development record to speak off.

“Our neighbors Uriri and Suna West have done tremendous work with their NG-CDF kitties for the past four years compared to a sleeping MP who was elected here,” he said.

Amimo said bursary issuance, road connectivity, electricity supply and building of schools have been poor.

“We are in for change, and that is what we have been yearning for,” he said.
