Migori Woman Representative candidate on Jubilee Party ticket Lillian Akugo today took Awendo town into a standstill.

Akugo made several step overs in the constituency before wrapping off her campaigns in Awendo town.

“We have walked across the entire county and we know we are in the inner lanes to be declared winner next month,” Akugo said.

She said need to empower women in socio-economic ventures by building markets and strengthening their Saccos.

She said she will also work closely with youths, both in school and outside to boost their Saccos and open business opportunities.

“We have already mapped out the entire county after interacting with voters and we will change to the seat compared to last office holders,” she said.

She was speaking at Jogama grounds in Awendo town.

Akugo is among six other candidates who have shown interest in the seat.

They are nominated MP Dennitah Ghati (ODM), Hellen Obado (Independent), Fatuma Mohammed (Independent), Josephine Sirega (Independent) and Zilpa Audline (Independent).

“We had a very peaceful campaigns and I believe among by worthy competitors have the best and clear agenda for women, youths and people with Disability,” she said.

She said she had strived to have peace in the campaigns and avoid name calling and abuse in her trail.

“My main agenda is to deliver this seat to voters, I started my life as a market woman in Awendo. I know how it feels to start from rock bottom, I’ll offer opportunities for all to better their lives,” she said
