Shock has gripped Opasi village in Suna East constituency after a woman committed suicide today morning.

The body of the deceased, Caren Atieno was today morning found dangling on avocado tree some few meters from the house buy her daughter who went to alert villagers.

Kwa location chief Daniel Matolo said the husband who came in the morning was looking for his wife after spending the night away from home.

“She committed suicide after calling her husband Seko Otiende who did not spend the night at home to bring food for supper,” Matolo said.

He said they are yet to establish whether the content of their conversation could have been the reason behind her death.

He said the two have been living peacefully until the unfortunate incident happened adding that the body was taken to Migori level four hospital mortuary as investigation continues.
